Technical Assistance Project for Strengthening Capacity of Ministry of Family and Social Policies for Public – CSO Cooperation started in İstanbul!

The Ministry of Family and Social Policy has been putting a lot of pioneering steps in relation to Civil Society Organizations and adding a new one to it, with implementing the Technical Assistance Project for Strengthening Capacity of Ministry of Family and Social Policies for Public – CSO Cooperation

Opening Event of Technical Assistance Project for Strengthening Capacity of Ministry of Family and Social Policies for Public – CSO Cooperation was held in İstanbul with the participation of; Minster of Family and Social Policies Dr. Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, President of European Union Delegation to Turkey Ambassador Christian Berger, Director of Central Finance and Contracts Unit Mehmet Selim Uslu, Undersecretary of Ministry for EU Affaires Selim Yenel, İstanbul Governor Vasip Şahin and representatives of civil society institutions. In the second part of the opening event; the panel on Public-CSO Cooperation was held with the participation of Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Head of Department of Comparative Law Prof. Dr. Selda Güneş Peschke, Deputy Governor of the Red Crescent İsmail Hakkı Turunç, Chairwoman of the Women’s Support Foundation Şengül Akçar and Dr. Ali Ercan Özgür, Corporate Social Responsibility Association of Turkey ‘

The project is initiated under “Democracy and Governance” sector, within the scope of IPA II covering the period 2014-20, where the Civil Society is defined as a sub-sector. In this context, with the Project, the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, which works in cooperation with CSOs, aims to strengthen cooperation between CSOs involved in the field of social policy and to lead the public and CSOs to act together in policy making.
