Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, Visited OPINA

Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, and representatives of the Delegation visited Istanbul Okan University on March 9, 2022, to receive information about the OPINA Platform Services and Cluster, and to meet with the project implementers and team members.

The visit began with a meeting with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Koçak, and included detailed presentations and promotional videos showcasing the current development phase and capabilities of the OPINA Project, along with demonstrations conducted in the laboratory for the EU Delegation.

The meetings were attended by Prof. Dr. Semih Bilgen (Senior Representative of OPINA at Istanbul Okan University, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering), Prof. Dr. Orhan B. Alankuş (Director of the OPINA Operation Coordination Unit and Faculty Member of the Mechanical/Automotive Engineering Departments), Prof. Dr. Nejat Tuncay, Prof. Dr. Tevfik Akgün, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihan Kıvanç, as well as university experts and members of the OPINA Project technical support team.
