“Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Project” Brought Together Local Authorities, Academia, and NGO Leaders in Muğla to Promote OHS Awareness

The “Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Project (MİSGEP)”, which aims to improve working conditions in high-risk sectors, particularly mining, brought together Muğla’s local authorities, academia, NGO leaders, employers, and workplace representatives within the framework of the “MİSGEP Mining Sector Consultation Meetings” to raise awareness on occupational health and safety (OHS).

As part of the meetings held across 25 provinces in 7 regions of Turkey, the MİSGEP Mining Sector Consultation Meeting in Muğla was organized on Friday, July 2, to provide OHS training to employers and workplace representatives. The opening speeches were delivered by Cafer UZUNKAYA, Director General of Occupational Health and Safety, and Caner YILDIZ, Deputy Governor of Muğla.
