Jean Monnet Certificate Ceremony

Within the scope of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, financed by the European Union and implemented by the Ministry for EU Affairs, a Certificate Ceremony was held on 27 April 2018 in Ankara for the scholars who successfully completed their postgraduate and research studies at prestigious universities in Europe during the 2013–2014, 2014–2015, and 2015–2016 academic years.

The ceremony began with speeches by former scholars: Elif Gözde Doyuran from the Undersecretariat of Treasury (2013–2014), Öncü Güneş from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2014–2015), and Sabahat Elif İpek, who currently works at a private law firm (2015–2016).

Following their remarks, speeches were delivered by M. Selim Uslu, President of the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, Gabriel Munuera-Vinals, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, and Ambassador Selim Yenel, Undersecretary of the Ministry for EU Affairs. After the speeches, certificates were presented to the scholars.

The event was attended by approximately 200 scholars, as well as EU ambassadors, representatives from the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, the Ministry for EU Affairs, and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, along with those who contributed to the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme. The ceremony concluded with a group photo and a dinner reception.
