Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme Started the New Semester Fast

On 7 May 2024, the Directorate for EU Affairs officially launched the new technical assistance period of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme, the oldest and the most prestigious scholarship programme of Türkiye. Funded by the European Union, this programme is known as the pioneer of education and professional development in Türkiye. The kick-off meeting brought together officials from the Directorate for EU Affairs, the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, the Central Finance and Contracts Unit, the consortium leader WYG and the technical assistance team.

During the meeting, the overall objectives and activities of the programme, new implementation approaches and new activities added to the programme were discussed in detail. In addition, critical issues such as the operational functioning of the project, contract details, establishment of the management structure, reporting and communication procedures were addressed. Financial issues and potential cooperation opportunities for a more effective and successful progress of the project were also on the agenda.
