Kick-off Meeting of the “Technical Assistance for Increasing the Policy-Making Capacity of the Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Field of Labour Migration” Project Held Online

The Kick-off Meeting of the “Technical Assistance for Increasing the Policy-Making Capacity of the Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Field of Labour Migration” Project, led by WYG Türkiye as the Consortium Leader and planned to last for 30 months, was held online on 1 April 2021. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Directorate General of International Labour Force of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, the Department of European Union and Financial Assistance of the same ministry, the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, consortium members, and the project team leader. In addition, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Foreign Relations Mr. Ali Aybey and Head of Department for the EU and Financial Assistance Ms. Süreyya Erkan also participated in the meeting.

The project aims to enhance the policy-making, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation capacities of the Directorate General of International Labour Force and relevant stakeholders to improve labour migration management. It also seeks to support the development of labour migration and national employment policies by promoting inclusive and well-functioning labour markets with a focus on decent work.
