MİSGEP Brought Together Employers and NGO Leaders from the Mining Sector in the Mining City of Zonguldak

As part of the “MİSGEP Mining Sector Consultation Meetings,” implemented by the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (İSGGM) and co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, efforts continue across 25 provinces in 7 regions of the country to improve occupational health and safety conditions in mining workplaces and raise awareness in this area. The latest meeting took place in Zonguldak. The event was attended by Zonguldak Governor Mustafa TUTULMAZ, Deputy Governor Yıldırım UÇAR, General Manager of the Turkish Hard Coal Enterprise (TTK) Kazım EROĞLU, Director General of Occupational Health and Safety Cafer UZUNKAYA, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Gönen SÜSLÜ, Zonguldak Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Metin DEMİR, Education Director of the Zonguldak Union of Tradesmen and Craftsmen İsmail DÜZTAŞ, representatives of public institutions, President of the Chamber of Mining Engineers Zonguldak Branch Çağlar ÖZTÜRK, and senior executives from mining companies and NGOs operating in the region.

In his opening speech, Zonguldak Governor Mustafa TUTULMAZ stated, “It is a pleasure to host the MİSGEP Mining Sector Consultation Meeting in Zonguldak, the mining capital of Turkey.
