“Shift Stories with Master Güven” Premiered in Edirne on 17 September 2021

“Shift Stories with Master Güven,” an interactive theater performance organized under the activity “Interactive Training Seminars through Drama” of the “Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in the Mining Sector Project (MİSGEP),” which is implemented by the Directorate General of Occupational Health and Safety (İSGGM) and co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, premiered in Edirne on 17 September 2021 as part of the MİSGEP Interactive Theater Tour.

The Edirne performance took place in the courtyard of the old school in Harmanlı Village, Uzunköprü, Edirne, with the participation of Şengül Çildam, Provincial Director of İŞKUR Edirne; Süleyman Lale, Provincial Director of SGK Edirne; and Murat Aguday, District Director of SGK Uzunköprü. Approximately 115 miners from Üçel, Batı Kömür, Seferoğlu, Akçelik, Vera, and Çata Mining companies attended the event, where their opinions and feedback were collected.

Using drama — one of the most effective methods for understanding human behavior, communication-based topics, and abstract concepts — the Interactive Training Seminars through Drama activity aims to reach over 10,000 mine workers across more than 30 provinces. Through the MİSGEP Touring Stage, around 60 seminars will be organized in mining workplaces. In September, the MİSGEP Touring Stage will visit Adıyaman, Mersin, Niğde, Gaziantep, Siirt, Hakkari, and Kastamonu to meet with mine workers.
