Stakeholders Meeting Held in Ankara

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project for Strengthening the Capacity of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies for Public–CSO Cooperation, the Lessons Learned Panel and the Internal Stakeholders Board Meeting were held on 5 July 2018 in Ankara.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, the YADA Foundation, Istanbul Bilgi University, and the Technical Assistance Team.

During the meeting, participants discussed how CSOs could become stronger and more effective by collaborating with one another, and how this strengthened capacity could enhance cooperation with public institutions. It was emphasized that Public–CSO cooperation is an ongoing process that should be supported through continuous training and capacity development activities. Considering the challenges faced by CSOs in accessing information, a recommendation was made to establish and share a local information pool through regional units.
