The First Steering Committee Meeting on Capacity Building Held in Ankara on 25 September 2018

The First Steering Committee Meeting on Capacity Building was held on 25 September 2018 in Ankara with the participation of stakeholder institutions. In the opening speeches delivered by Mr. Bülent Özcan, Head of Project Implementation Department at the Directorate for EU Affairs; Mr. Alexander Fricke, Head of the Civil Society, Fundamental Rights, Justice and Home Affairs Section of the EU Delegation to Turkey; and Ms. Nuray Hatırnaz, Head of EU and Foreign Relations Department at the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, the importance of cooperation between civil society and public institutions was emphasized.

Following the introduction of project activities by the Team Leader Cleofe Guardigli, the representatives of participating institutions shared their opinions on the ongoing process. The Steering Committee, which plays a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of the project, will convene a total of eight times throughout the project to evaluate its progress and outcomes.
