The Second Steering Committee Meeting of the Town Twinning Between Turkey and the European Union Project Held at the Directorate for EU Affairs on 15 January 2019

The second meeting of the Steering Committee for the Town Twinning Between Turkey and the European Union Project (TWIN) was held on 15 January 2019 at the Directorate for EU Affairs.

During the meeting, participants reviewed and discussed activities related to the project’s grant programme, promotion and visibility efforts, and capacity-building initiatives. The overall project progress and implementation status were also evaluated in detail.

The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs (beneficiary), the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) (contracting authority), the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Directorate General of Local Authorities, the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (UMT), and the Union of Provinces (key stakeholders). The Delegation of the European Union to Turkey participated as an observer, while representatives of the Consortium and the Technical Assistance Team also took part in the meeting.
