The Second Steering Committee Meeting of the TWIN Project Held in Ankara on 15 January 2019

The Second Steering Committee Meeting of the Town Twinning Between Turkey and the European Union Project (TWIN) was held on 15 January 2019 in Ankara.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Directorate for EU Affairs, the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU), the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (UMT), the Union of Provinces, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization – Directorate General of Local Authorities, and the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey (as an observer).

The session began with the opening remarks of A. Hakan Atik, Coordinator of the Project Implementation Department of the Directorate for EU Affairs. Following the introduction, the Technical Assistance Team presented updates and progress reports covering the recent implementation period of the project.

After collecting feedback and assessments from institutional representatives, the participants reviewed ongoing and planned project activities. The meeting concluded with a summary of key discussion points and coordination steps for the next implementation phase.
