TSE Standardization Seminar Held in Eskişehir

The third session of the awareness seminar organized by the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) as part of the “Set the Standards!” awareness campaign took place in Eskişehir. The campaign, carried out within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project for the Development of the Standardization System and Raising Awareness, aims to emphasize the importance of standardization and to inform participants about the subject.

The seminar, designed to raise public awareness about standardization, began with opening speeches by TSE President Prof. Dr. Adem ŞAHİN, Chairman of the Eskişehir Organized Industrial Zone (EOSB) Nadir KÜPELİ, President of the Eskişehir Chamber of Industry Celalettin KESİKBAŞ, and President of the Eskişehir Chamber of Commerce Metin GÜLER.

Following the introductory presentations on the project, Eskişehir Provincial Director of Industry and Technology Muhammet Taha GÜVEN provided insights into Eskişehir’s production portfolio and ongoing standardization efforts in the region.

Founder of ENTEKNO A.Ş., Eskişehir Technical University Faculty Member, and Chair of the Cosmetics Mirror Committee Prof. Dr. Ender SUVACI, along with TAI Aerospace Mirror Committee Member Ayça ULUSOY, shared information with participants about the role of industrial stakeholders in mirror committees.

Emphasizing the significance of university-industry collaboration in the standard-setting process, Microbiota Biotechnology Industry and Technology Inc. Chairman and Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ahmet ÇABUK, as well as ESİAD (Eskişehir Industrialists and Businesspeople Association) President Kenan IŞIK, underlined the importance of joint efforts in advancing standardization activities.
