TÜRKAK World Accreditation Day and Good Laboratory Practices Events

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance Project for Enhancing TÜRKAK’s Capacity in the Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies, the World Accreditation Day and Good Laboratory Practices events were held in Ankara on November 24–25, 2021, as hybrid events with the participation of national and international experts and speakers.

During the World Accreditation Day event, which was opened by TÜRKAK Secretary General Ms. Banu Müderrisoğlu, several topics were discussed, including the Importance and Impact of TÜRKAK Accreditation Programs on Trade, the UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and Accreditation, the Role and Benefits of Accreditation for Sustainable Development, the Relationship Between Accredited Conformity Assessment and the Sustainable Development Goals, as well as various Case Studies.

Simultaneously, on November 24, 2021, the Good Laboratory Practices Seminar was held, covering topics such as general information on OECD Good Laboratory Practice Principles, the Quality Assurance Program, and Ensuring Impartiality.

The events were attended by representatives from the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), as well as accreditation body heads, assessors, and technical experts in the field of certification and accreditation.
