WYG Türkiye Team Meeting in Antalya

WYG Türkiye Annual Team Meeting Held in Antalya

The annual WYG Türkiye Team Meeting, which has now become a tradition, took place this year in Antalya between 03-05 June 2016. This year’s meeting was organised with the participation of staff from both the project offices and the main office, comprising a total of 80 people. Team games were designed around activities such as communication, leadership, solidarity, team building, coordination, and time management — all aiming to enhance the motivation and teamwork capabilities of WYG staff.

Indoor Activities: WYG Olympics

The team meeting consisted of two main parts: Outdoor and Indoor. On the first day, 10 indoor activities were carried out under the name of the so-called WYG Olympics. Participants focused on topics such as adaptation processes, ice breaking, stress management, efficient communication, the strength of competition, taking responsibility, and creative solutions.

The first day concluded with the Drum Circle activity, in which the staff could both relax mentally and release stress by creating a joint rhythm using percussion instruments such as the toumba, conga, and djembe.

Adventure Day: Outdoor Activities and Rafting

The second day of the meeting was called Adventure Day. The team went to Köprülü Kanyon Beşkonak, one of the world’s most famous rafting rivers in Antalya, and started the day with a Jeep Safari tour that ended in the Eco-Family Park for further outdoor activities.

After the Jeep Safari, exciting and fun activities were held in the Adventure Park, followed by a 12 km rafting route completed in groups of eight. This activity focused on strengthening team confidence, in-team support, empathy, teamwork, handling differences in opinion, synergy, proactive thinking, and effective task distribution.
