PROJECT ON COORDINATION AND TRAINING FOR EMPLOYMENT

Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of the project is to increase the employability of disadvantaged persons, facilitate their access to labour market, and eliminate barriers for their entrance into the labour market by establishing and implementing a model for coordination and implementation of employment and social support services within the target Municipalities under supervision and guidance of UMT.

The achieved results of the project are as follows:

Result 1: Establishment of Social Service Support and Employment Guidance Units (SSSEGU) that are made operational within the respective Departments of each Municipality

Result 2: Increased employability of disadvantaged persons following the guidance, counselling, rehabilitation and training programmes

Result 3: Increased level of awareness on social inclusion of disadvantaged persons among the local service providers, decision makers and the wider public in pilot cities

Target Groups:

• People with disabilities
• People, who are in poverty or at risk of poverty, including those living in shanty houses, ex-convicts and ex-prisoners and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs)
• Employers and other employees at workplaces
• Roma citizens
• Other disadvantaged persons as appropriate (i.e. drug addicts, women suffering from domestic violence, parents of working children)
