TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR IMPROVING THE AWARENESS OF FOOD PROCESSING SECTOR AND FARMERS IN TERMS OF EU ENVIRONMENTAL AND HYGIENE STANDARDS AND IPARD SUPPORT

Project Objectives and Results:
The objective is to contribute to the full harmonisation of Turkey with the EU Acquis Chapters 11, 12 and 13, which are under negotiation process and to strengthen its ability to fulfill its obligations arising from EU membership process.
The results to be achieved are as follows:
Result 1: Improved information resources on food hygiene, environmental protection and animal welfare in line with EU regulations.
Result 2: A strategy established for restructuring and acquis alignment of the sectors to be supported through IPARD II Programme.
Result 3: Improved institutional capacity related with the food hygiene, environmental protection and animal welfare of beneficiaries.
Result 4: Improved institutional capacity related with the food hygiene, environmental protection and animal welfare of beneficiaries.
Target Groups:
- Staff of ARDSI
- Staff of MoAF and MoEU
- Potential beneficiaries of IPARD Programme ranging from to milk and meat producers, food processors, advisors and NGOs
