TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR INCREASING THE QUALITY OF THE SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION

Project Objectives and Results:

Overall objective of this Operation is to improve the quality of education and training. The purpose of the Operation is as follows: To ensure the integration of students with special education needs to the society by increasing the quality of special education services offered. During the 36 months period 16 interventions are planned to achieve this objective, which are divided into 4 categories.

Within the scope of the Operation, the results to be achieved are as follows:

• MoNE staff are trained
• Training Needs Assessment for teachers according to the documents for professional competencies is conducted
• Educational staff is tested regarding professional competencies
• Assessment tool for students’ achievement is developed/ used
• Wide range of people accessed through awareness raising campaigns/events
• An Impact Assessment is conducted

As per the ToR, the Operation covers different subjects related special education, and the implementation of interventions will be carried out in 12 provinces (Adana, Ankara, Balıkesir, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, İstanbul, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, Konya, Samsun, Trabzon) as pilot.
