TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR JEAN MONNET SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

Project Objectives and Results:

The aim of the project is to support Turkey in its efforts towards accession by enhancing Turkey’s administrative capacity for the effective implementation of the EU Acquis and to provide technical assistance to the Directorate for EU Affairs for the implementation of the JMSP in an effective and timely manner for the purposes of enhancing inter-personal and inter-cultural dialogue with EU member states via mobility.

The results to be achieved are as follows:

Result 1: Information about the JMSP ensured for all potential candidates through events, promotion and publication channels.

Result 2: Institutions relevant to both the needs of the scholars and the programme objectives identified, network established or sustained/further enhanced with the identified institutions.

Result 3: Supporting the fair and transparent selection of scholars with the organisational support of the contractor during the administrative check and evaluation processes.

Result 4: The scholars guided and assisted during their placement in the programmes at host institutions.

Result 5: Status and perfomance of all scholars effectively monitored.

Result 6: Sustainable communication channels established within the Jean Monnet alumni network.

Target Groups:

• Project Management Unit (PMU) and other related Departments in the DEUA,
• Scholarship holders of the programme as well as potential applicants from the following sectors: Public, Private and University Sector.
