TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR PROMOTING SOCIAL INCLUSION IN DENSELY ROMA POPULATED AREAS (SİROMA)

Project Objectives and Results:
The overall objective of the project is to increase social inclusion in densely Roma populated areas especially by facilitating their entrance into formal labour market by improving the quality of delivery of education/vocational education and training/lifelong learning, health, employment, social protection and social assistance services provided to target groups.
The achieved results of the project are as follows:
Result 1: Improvement of the institutional capacity of the public institutions and service providers to provide better delivery of education, health, employment and social protection and assistance services to target group.
Result 2: Increased level of awareness, civil dialogue and communication among governmental institutions, NGOs, relevant stakeholders and public.
Result 3: Improvement of access of target groups to quality education services and improvement of educational success level of the children at the age of pre-primary and primary education in the pilot areas.
Result 4: Increased level of demand of the target groups accessing to health services in the pilot areas to ease the integration of the target group to the labour market.
Result 5: Increased level of employability of the target group with a view to strengthening their occupational qualifications.
Target Groups:
- The disadvantaged persons, who are in poverty or at risk of poverty
- The people living in slums highly populated with Roma Communities and nomads
