TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR PROMOTION OF LIFELONG LEARNING

Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of the project is to promote the development and implementation of coherent and comprehensive strategies for Lifelong Learning by establishing an institutional framework and capacity within Lifelong Learning (LLL) perspectives in line with EU practices to support individuals access to education for increasing employment opportunities and within a system designed to value learning.

The achieved results of the project are as follows:

Result 1: The revision of the National Lifelong Learning Strategy Document and Action Plan, VQA and Occupational Standard Development, Vocational Knowledge and Skills Testing and Certification Centres supported in implementing a fully functional NQS in compliance with European Qualifications Framework, as well as producing new methods for monitoring and evaluation of the Lifelong Learning activities previously developed, tested, and implemented

Result 2: Preparation of the provincial Lifelong Learning action plans for 43 provinces in the NUTS II regions

Result 3: Development of local capacity on Lifelong Learning policy and approach

Result 4: Raising awareness about the Lifelong Learning approach and the dissemination of the outputs of the Grant Scheme assessed and supported within the perspective of the National Lifelong Learning Strategy Document and Action Plan

• Staff of Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Apprenticeship and Nonformal Education, General Directorate of Technical Education for Boys, General Directorate of Technical Education for Girls, General Directorate of Trade and Tourism Education, General Directorates of Guidance and Counselling Services, General Directorate of Educational Technologies and relevant units in MoNE, Guidance and Counselling Centres Staff, Directorate of Research and Development of Education and relevant central and provincial departments
• HEC, Universities (Faculties, Higher Vocational Education Schools, Continuous Education Centres)
• Formal and non-formal education providers, managers, deputy-managers, and teachers in educational institutions
• Managers and staff of Provincial & National Lifelong Learning Coordination Centres
• Existing and potential students in educational institutions
• The unemployed, employed, unskilled and low-skilled adults, not illiterates
