TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR STRENGTHENING THE CAPACITY OF THE MINISTRY OF FAMILY AND SOCIAL POLICIES FOR PUBLIC-CSO COOPERATION

Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of the project is to support the development of civil society through more active democratic participation in policy and decision-making processes and by promoting a culture of fundamental rights and dialogue and strengthen cooperation between public sector and CSOs in general and between MoFSP and CSOs involved in social policy sphere in particular.

The results to be achieved are as follows:

Result 1: The capacity of the MoFLSP and CSOs in terms of mutual policy making, implementation, monitoring and evaluation increased.

Result 2: The capacity of CSOs regarding legal assistance and counselling increased.

Result 3: The capacity on the implementation of code of conduct (related to the negotiation preparations for Chapter 19, Social Policy and Employment Chapter) is increased and experience acquired.

Result 4: Cooperation among CSOs and between CSOs and MoFSP and relevant public institutions in the field of social policy strengthened.

Target Groups:

• CSOs which are representatives of the target groups with a particular focus on areas which are relevant to MoFLSP such as people who are in poverty, children, women, disabled persons, elderly people, Syrians who are under temporary protection, migrants and the Roma people etc.
• MoFLSP
• Relevant Public Institutions working with CSOs (Directorate for EU affairs, National Agency etc.)
