Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of the project is to accelerate Turkey’s accession to EU by enabling Turkey to achieve a high level of environmental protection and compliance with the EU water sector directives.

The results achieved are as follows:

Result 1: Construction supervision for the implementation of Rehabilitation of Kurutilek Well Field and establishment of SCADA System (Works Contract-3) (FIDIC Yellow Book).

Result 2: Construction supervision for the implementation of Reconstruction of Beytahtı Water Transmission Main Pipeline Project (Works Contract-4) (FIDIC Red Book).

Works Contract 3 (Rehabilitation of Kurutilek Well Field and establishment of SCADA System):

  • Design and construction of three new deep wells with the following depths: YK2 of 238 m, YK3 of 244 m and YK4 of 182 m, and rehabilitation of existing two deep wells in Kurutilek Well Field
  • Supply and installation of instruments and control system for reservoirs DY1, DY2, DY3, DY4 & pumping station TMY constructed in the scope of Completion Contract of WKS-1
  • Supply and installation of electromechanical equipment and control system for flow meter chambers constructed under WKS-1
  • Supply and installation of electromechanical equipment and control system for valve chambers constructed under WKS-1
  • Supply and installation of SCADA system for the entire system for the works listed above

Works Contract 4 (Reconstruction of Water Transmission Main Pipeline):

  • Construction of Beytahtı water transmission pipeline (approximately 12.1 km, DN800 mm ductile iron pipeline)
