Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of the project is to promote better implementation of asylum policies of Turkey and to control the illegal migration in line with international and EU standards and best practices.

The results achieved are as follows:

Result 1: A feasibility report

Result 2: Preparation of Detailed Architectural and Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Infra-structural) Designs and Full Works tender dossier (FIDIC Red Book) for 7 Reception Centres (Ankara, İzmir, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Kayseri, Kırklareli, Van) for Asylum Seekers and Refugees and 2 Removal Centres (Ankara, Erzurum) for Illegal Migrants. Each centre has a total built up area of 17.000 m² and a capacity of 750 inmates. (Value of Construction Works estimated as €86M)

Result 3: Terms of Reference for Construction Supervision Services (Value of Supervision Services estimated as €5M)

Result 4: Technical Specifications for Supply Component (Value of Supply Items estimated as €11M)
