6th Steering Committee Meeting and Leaders’ Breakfast Event of the Services Project

The 6th Steering Committee Meeting of the Services Project was held together with the Leaders’ Breakfast Event on Friday, 29 July 2016 at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, Ankara. The meeting was attended by representatives from the Directorate for Economic and Financial Policies of the Ministry for EU Affairs (the project beneficiary), the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU), the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, members of the project’s Steering Committee, and the Project Technical Assistance Team.

The event began with a breakfast, followed by an opening speech delivered by Sinan Ayhan, Head of the Directorate for Economic and Financial Policies at the Ministry for EU Affairs. Subsequently, Project Team Leader Jasmina Trajkovski, Key Experts Prof. Dr. Sanem Baykal, Süleyman Yazır, and Mustafa Ayfonluoğlu, and Non-Key Expert Acar Şenşoy provided updates on the project’s recent activities. Their presentations covered the topics of Services, Professional Qualifications, Points of Single Contact, National Support Centres, and Investment Analysis, followed by a Q&A session.

At the end of the meeting, Friederike Wüenschmann, representative of the EU Delegation to Turkey, expressed her condolences for the recent difficult circumstances in the country and reaffirmed the EU’s solidarity with the Turkish people. She extended her appreciation first to the stakeholders for their valuable contributions, and then to the Project Technical Assistance Team and the Ministry for EU Affairs team for their dedicated efforts.

Following the breakfast meeting, participants — including representatives of the CFCU, the Ministry for EU Affairs, and the Technical Assistance Team — gathered for a group photo to commemorate the occasion.
