“İşte Kadın” Photography Contest Results Announced

Ensuring that women participate in the workforce under better conditions in urban areas begins with enhancing their vocational skills and competencies. The economic participation and empowerment of women constitute one of the most crucial steps toward sustainable and people-centered development.

Within the framework of the GATE Project, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye and implemented by the Eastern Black Sea Development Agency (DOKA) with the technical assistance of WYG Türkiye, the “İşte Kadın” (Here’s the Woman) photography contest was organized between 7 November 2016 and 7 February 2017. The contest aimed to raise awareness of the importance of women’s participation in economic and social life. A total of 1,087 photographers from 68 provinces took part in the competition.
