OPINA Opening Ceremony

As Türkiye’s first autonomous vehicle development and testing platform, OPINA was inaugurated on 09 May 2024 under the leadership of WYG Türkiye with the participation of the Minister of Industry and Technology, Mr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır at Okan University in Istanbul.

OPINA Platform will be an important centre in the field of smart, communicating and autonomous vehicle software and hardware development at national and international level. On the OPINA infrastructure, software and hardware development, simulation, testing, certification and training services will be provided using the open innovation method.

Following the opening ceremony, the programme continued with the OPINA Workshop, where participants had the opportunity to get to know the services offered by the OPINA Platform more closely. Also, the participants learnt about the cooperation opportunities that OPINA will provide and the project calls that will be funded by the European Union in the near future.
