Technical Assistance Project for Enhancing the Policy-Making Capacity of the Directorate General of International Labor Force in the Field of Labor Migration

Within the scope of the “Technical Assistance for Enhancing the Policy-Making Capacity of the Directorate General of International Labor Force in the Field of Labor Migration” Project, for which the Directorate General of International Labor Force under the Ministry of Labor and Social Security is the Operation Beneficiary and WYG Türkiye is the Lead Contractor, the 1st Working Group Meeting under Activity 4.1: Support to the Directorate General of International Labor Force in Policy Development, was successfully held online on February 3–4, 2022, with the participation of members of the Operation Coordination Unit, a representative of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, and representatives from the Directorate General’s stakeholder institutions and social partners.

Co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, the Project aims to support labor migration and national employment policies by strengthening the policy development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation capacities of the Directorate General of International Labor Force and relevant stakeholders. It also seeks to contribute to an inclusive and well-functioning labor market that emphasizes decent work and effective labor migration management.

As WYG Türkiye, we plan to successfully complete our Project—launched on April 1 and set to be implemented over 30 months—by September 2023, within the planned time, budget, and quality framework, with the support of all relevant parties and stakeholders.
