Project Objectives and Results:

The overall objective of this assignment is to ensure a high-quality selection process for projects under the 2016 call EuropeAid/151093/DH/ACT/Multi “Inclusive and Sustainable Value Chains and Food Fortification” funded by the EU budget. The programme falls under the Global Public Goods and Challenges (GPGC) Thematic Programme, covering Food and Nutrition Security and Sustainable Agriculture (FNSSA). Its aims are to reduce poverty, improve nutritional status, and ensure benefits are fairly distributed among farmers, focusing on both inclusive, climate-smart, sustainable agriculture-based value chains and food fortification.

Specific objectives:

• Evaluation of Concept Notes (CN): All CNs are assessed electronically based on relevance and design of the action.
• Evaluation of Full Applications (FA): Evaluation grids with written appraisals are prepared for each FA, emphasizing financial and operational capacity, feasibility, sustainability, budget, and cost-effectiveness.
