Strengthening of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in Lebanon Project
The Strengthening of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) in Lebanon Project officially commenced on 18 November 2016 and will be implemented over a period of 42 months. As the lead consortium partner, WYG Group contributes to improving the quality and scope of services provided by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
The project is designed to achieve 11 specific results under 4 main objectives:
Objective 1 – Strengthening the Strategic, Technical, and Institutional Capacity of the NSSF
This objective will be achieved through six key results:
- S1: Reviewing and upgrading the NSSF’s IT Master Plan to support institutional reform and automation for an integrated social security programme in Lebanon.
- S2: Providing one year of technical support and warranty services for IT applications developed by the Consultant after approval of operational activities.
- S3: Reviewing and improving the strategic positioning of the NSSF.
- S4: Supporting, monitoring, and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs) through a scorecard system to ensure reliable and consistent data for future strategic planning.
- S5: Strengthening the administrative and organizational structure of the NSSF.
- S6: Enhancing the capacity of NSSF personnel through training and coaching programmes.
Objective 2 – Improving the Legal Framework and Actuarial Management
This objective will be achieved through the following results:
- S7: Expanding and improving the coverage of social insurance schemes.
- S8: Enhancing the quality of actuarial services and data mining tools to support better decision-making through more effective use of existing data.
Objective 3 – Improving NSSF Operations
This objective focuses on the following results:
- S9: Reviewing and streamlining existing operational procedures.
- S10: Strengthening the NSSF’s ICT connectivity to improve communication between the institution and external stakeholders.
Objective 4 – Implementing Change Management through Awareness and Communication
The final objective aims to achieve:
- S11: Introducing modern and rational management methods, increasing project visibility, enhancing awareness among stakeholders about the ongoing efforts, and fostering a strong sense of ownership of the project among NSSF staff.
