Technical Assistance for Water Ambassadors Education and Awareness Raising Project Kadir Çöpdemir delivered a talk show in Muğla
Within the framework of the Project co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and implemented to create public awareness on the protection and sustainability of environment and water resources, a series of talk shows with Kadir Çöpdemir were given a start in Muğla. The talk on “Water Questions and Answers” was given at Muğla Sıtkı Kocaman University.
The Contracting Authority of the Project is the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, which is implemented with the cooperation of Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of State Water Affairs and Turkish Radio and TV Corporation. Within the scope of the Project, showman Kadir Çöpdemir will deliver morning and evening performances on 04 August in Konya, on 22 August in Trabzon and on 27 October in Ankara. The provinces in question were selected from the pilot basins of the Project; namely western Mediterranean basin, Konya closed basin and eastern Black Sea basin.
Water Ambassadors Education and Awareness Raising Technical Assistance Project Coordinator Mr Özgür Aydıncak and the Team Leader Prof Mustafa Kemal Yalınkılıç were the guests of Kadir Çöpdemir. Aydıncak and Yalınkılıç had a talk with Kadir Çöpdemir and pointed out the significance of the protection of environment and water resources in Turkey and in the world. The talk show drew the attention of children, youngsters and their families.
The Technical Assistance for Water Ambassadors Education and Awareness Raising Project aims to create public awareness on protection of water resources and environment in Turkey and on productive, clean and sustainable use of natural resources. The series of talk shows with Kadir Çöpdemir intend to edutain the target group of the Project, namely the university students and youngsters on protection of environment and productive use of water. Thus, water and environment messages will be delivered directly to large masses.
