Reinforcement of the National Social Security Fund

The Steering Committee for the Reinforcement of the National Social Security Fund project, funded by the European Union, held its Steering Committee Meeting on 27^th of March, 2018, in the presence of the Director General of the National Social Security Fund, Mohammed Karaki, General Director of Labor Ministry, George Ida and the committee members, as well as representatives from the European Union, the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform and the implementing partner WYG.

The meeting discussed means of cooperation between the participating parties to accelerate the progress of the project and improve its performance, particularly with regards to the establishment of a modern administrative structure, in addition to the development of a strategic plan and the automation of the National Social Security Fund management and operations.

The value of the project is € 3.6 million. It aims to strengthen the capacities for strategic planning and management development, improve operational frameworks, enhance staff performance by developing human capacity through training programs and national debates, and develop awareness around social security issues at stake
