Technical Assistance for the Improvement of Standardization System and Raising Awareness Project Opening Meeting

Opening Meeting of “Technical Assistance for the Improvement of Standardization System and Raising Awareness” project co-financed by Republic of Turkey and EU and implemented by Turkish Standards Institution was held on 20.02.2019 in Grand Ankara Hotel with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Technology, Mr. Hasan Büyükdede. Opening Meeting started with the speeches of Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Technology Mr. Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Head of  EU Delegation to Turkey Mr. Gabriel Munuera Vinals and President of TSE Mr. Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin. Deputy Minister of Ministry of Industry and Technology Mr. Hasan Büyükdede stated that there should be a Turkey having a voice in the process of preparation of standards, not only a Turkey meeting the standards. Mr. Hasan Büyükdede expressed that the digital transformation became more visible and there was a need for an infrastructure to ease the participation and follow-up of standardization activities. The project that will contribute to the improvement of  Turkish trade and standards, targets to increase the efficiency of production process and competitiveness providing that effective participation in standardization processes. The project has officially started on January 2019 and will be completed in 30 months.
