MISGEP Met with Employers and NGO Executives for the 20th Time for the Mining Sector in the Mining City of Kütahya

Within the scope of MİSGEP, which is carried out by the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety (İSGGM) and financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, in order to improve the occupational health and safety conditions in mining workplaces and to raise awareness in this field, “MISGEP Mining Industry Consultation Meeting” covering 25 provinces in 7 regions of Turkey meetings are continuing for the 20th time in Kütahya. İsmail GÜLTEKİN, Head of Legislation Affairs Department of the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety, who made his speech at the opening session, put forward the general situation regarding workplaces and employers in the Kütahya region and occupational health and safety, emphasizing that work-related diseases and accidents can lead to consequences that harm social peace and social harmony. “One cannot avoid what one does not know.” Continuing his words by saying that the regulations on occupational health and safety both in the world and in our country started with the mining sector.
