TURKAK World Accreditation Day and Good Laboratory Practices Events

Within the scope of the Technical Assistance for Enhancement of TURKAK's Capacity in Accreditation of Conformity Assessment Bodies, events for the World Accreditation Day and Good Laboratory Practices were held in Ankara in a hybrid format on 24-25 November 2021 with the contributions of experts and speakers from Turkey and abroad.

TURKAK Secretary General Ms. Banu MÜDERRİSOĞLU made the opening speech, and topics such as the Importance of TURKAK Accreditation Programmes and their Impact on Trade, UN Sustainable Development Goals-2030 and Accreditation, the Role and Contribution of Accreditation for Sustainable Development, the Relationship Between Accredited Conformity Assessment and Sustainable Development Goals and various Case Presentations were included in the World Accreditation Day.

In the Good Laboratory Practices Seminar, which was held simultaneously on 24 November 2021, general information was provided about OECD Principles of Good Laboratory Practice, and topics of Quality Assurance Programmes and Ensuring Impartiality were discussed.

The events were attended by the representatives of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the European Accreditation (EA), as well as the auditors and technical experts of the Certification Accreditation Department.
