National Ombudsmanship Symposium on the Culture of Seeking Legal Remedies of the Youth

The National Ombudsmanship Symposium on the Culture of Seeking Legal Remedies of the Youth was held on 21 December 2021 in Ankara within the scope of the "Technical Assistance for Empowerment of the Role of Ombudsman in the Protection and Promotion of Human Rights Project". The opening speeches of the conference were made with the participation of the Chief Ombudsman Mr. Şeref MALKOÇ, the Deputy Director of Central Finance and Contracts Unit Mr. Barbaros Murat KÖSE, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Faruk KAYMAKCI, and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mehmet Muharrem KASAPOĞLU.

At the conference, it was aimed that the culture of seeking legal remedies could be understood correctly in the society within the scope of good governance and that the actors who make up different segments of the society, especially university students, discuss concepts such as Justice, Law, Equity, and Human Rights.

The conference was participated by students who are members of Ombudsman Student Clubs of universities, university representatives, academics, representatives of CSOs working in the field of human rights, and representatives of bar associations and public institutions.
