Gaziantep Industrial Design and Modelling Centre (GETAM) Project

Technical Assistance for the Establishment of Gaziantep Regional Industrial Design and Modelling Centre Project, in which the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology is the Contracting Authority and KOSGEB (small and medium sized enterprises development organisation) Gaziantep Provincial Directorate and Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce are the beneficiaries, is operated with the Technical Assistance of WYG Türkiye under the scope of the Regional Competitiveness Operational Programme. The overall objective of the Project is to increase competitiveness and economic welfare of the region, to support socio-economic development of the region and to improve the innovative capacities of SMEs and entrepreneurs of the region.

The Project is implemented in Gaziantep with a budget of Euro 2.260.000. The Project launched on 25 May 2016 will last 24 months. The Project is also implemented in secondary target provinces, namely, Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Mardin, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa and in tertiary target provinces, namely, Kayseri, Malatya, Van and Diyarbakır. The target group of the Project is comprised of SMEs and entrepreneurs.

The Project aims at strengthening the regional common product development/process enhancement infrastructure and increasing awareness and technical capacities of SMEs and entrepreneurs specialised on primarily but not limited to manufacturing of leather products, jewellery and accessories and electric circuits. This is planned to be achieved by establishment and operationalisation of Gaziantep Industrial Design and Modelling Centre.
