Carried out by the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety, The "Project for Improving Occupational Health and Safety, Especially in Mining Sector" (MISGEP), aims to improve the working conditions of very dangerous workplaces, especially in mining workplaces has brought together Antalya's public institutions, NGO managers, employers and workplace representatives.

Within the scope of MİSGEP, which is carried out by the General Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety (İSGGM) and financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, in order to improve the occupational health and safety conditions in mining workplaces and to raise awareness in this field, “MİSGEP Mining Industry Consultation Meeting” covering 81 provinces in 7 regions of Turkey are continuing in Kahramanmaraş after Denizli and Muğla. Kahmanmaraş Governor Ömer Faruk COŞKUN, General Manager of Occupational Health and Safety Cafer UZUNKAYA and other public institutions representatives, mining enterprises serving in Kahramanmaraş region and senior managers of NGOs also attended the meeting.

Within the scope of MİSGEP, this week; "Interactive Education Seminars Through Drama" (July 5-9, 2021) will be held in Manisa and Aydın and "Mining Workplaces and NGO Managers Information Meetings" (July 7-9, 2021) will be held in Kahramanmaraş, Konya and Antalya.

The "Improving Occupational Health and Safety Especially in Mining Sector, project"  has aimed to improve the working conditions of very dangerous workplaces, especially the mining workplaces and has bought together with the local administration in Muğla Province, the academic community, NGO managers, employers and workplace representatives that have participated in the "MISGEP Mining Industry Consultation Meetings" to increase the occupational health and safety awareness.

Within the scope of these meetings covering 25 provinces in 7 regions of Turkey, the MİSGEP Mining Industry Consultation Meeting, which was organized to provide occupational health and safety training to employers and workplace representatives in Muğla province, was held on Friday, July the 2nd.

General Manager of Occupational Health and Safety, Mr. Cafer UZUNKAYA and Muğla Deputy Governor, Mr. Caner YILDIZ made the opening speeches of the meeting.

The first of the publicity and awareness seminars on "Standardization and standard-setting activities" for consumers, organized as part of the Technical Assistance for the Development of the Standardization System and Raising Awareness Project, was held online at Ankara Point Hotel on June the 30th. The seminar, which was held with the participation of representatives of consumer organizations and relevant institutions started with the opening speeches of the President of the Turkish Standards Institute, Prof. Dr. Adem ŞAHİN and General Manager of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance of the Ministry of Commerce Mr. Avni DİLBER.

Providing formal education in order to remove barriers to integrative education and to improve the quality of special education and raising awareness campaign for administrators and RAM administrators in schools is continuing in İstanbul. 10 seminars will be held in Istanbul with the participation of a total of 200 people and will continue throughout the week.

Interactive drama trainings were prepared for mine workers with the slogan "For Your Health and Safety, We Will Be Where You Are!" met with the audience for the first time on 21st of June.

Within the scope of the Jean Monnet Scholarship Program, the Return to Turkey and Networking Event was specially arranged for the graduates of the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 academic years.

The 2nd OPINA Workshop was dedicated to discussing OPINA’s support for startups and what more it can do in the future with virtual sessions, featuring a live panel of international industry leaders and a showcase of the European and Turkish startup ecosystems’ exciting and innovative AV, ADAS and CCAM technology companies.

“WYG Türkiye Translation Unit” and “Atılım University Department of English Translation and Interpretation” came together for an online meeting regarding "Translation Internship-Sectoral Collaboration" on 6^th May 2021. With her more than 30 years of academic experience, Head of Department Prof. Dr. Nüzhet Berrin AKSOY and with her multidimensional research interests ranging from translator training to translation technologies, Instructor Dr. Naile Sarmaşık made their presentations and shared their opinions on translation from an academic perspective. To offer a practical perspective from project management consulting sector, WYG Türkiye & CIS Managing Director Dr. Faruk Cengiz Tekindağ, WYG Türkiye Translation Unit Coordinator Ms. Ceren Özgür, and WYG Türkiye Translator Mr. Mert Duman made their presentations. With his 35 years of experience in the sector, Dr. Faruk Cengiz Tekindağ introduced the company and shared his experiences and valuable recommendations with translation and interpreting students. Translation Unit Coordinator Ms. Ceren Özgür introduced WYG Türkiye Translation Unit and elaborated on what as a global company, WYG Türkiye Translation Unit expects from intern translator(s) with a specific emphasis on the translation quality and standards. As an Atılım University alumnus, Mr. Mert Duman shared his own journey both in the profession and in WYG Türkiye and stated that the other team members and he will provide mentorship to intern translator(s). Also, participants from WYG Türkiye answered the questions raised by professors and students. Finally, both parties thanked each other and expressed their wishes for further mutually beneficial cooperation.

WYG Turkey and Çankaya University's Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies came together for a meeting titled "Translation Internship and Expectations of Stakeholders" on 20.04.2021. In this online meeting, Çankaya University Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies Department Head Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul KOÇ, Çankaya University Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa KIRCA, WYG Türkiye Managing Director Dr. Faruk Cengiz Tekindağ, WYG Türkiye Translation Unit Coordinator Ceren Özgür, and WYG Türkiye Translator Kadir Göker Yıldırım made their presentations and answered the questions raised by the participating students.
 

WYG Türkiye, the Consortium Leader of Bandırma Integrated Water Project, has conducted the three days Training Programme on "Management Models in Water / Wastewater Sector - Autonomous Management” between 29-31.03.2021 at BASKİ headquarters in Balıkesir with the participation of the Higher Management of BASKİ, Members of the Project Implementation Unit, Managers & Representatives of the related Departments and Divisions of BASKİ.

Under the Konsoriyum leadership of WYG International Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi  the Kick-Off Meeting of "Technical Assistance for Increasing the Policy Making Capacity of Directorate General of International Labour Force in the Field of Labour Migration" Project was held on April 1^st, 2021. The meeting was held online with the representatives of Directorate General of International Labour Force and Directorate of European Union and Financial Assistance under Republic of Turkey Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Services, Delegation of the European Union to Turkey and Consortium partners. Within the scope of the Technical Assistance and Supervision for Bandırma Integrated Water Project, WYG Turkey as the leader of the consortium, under the Technical Assistance and Capacity Building Component “Technical Training of Water Balance and Leak Detection Study” was carried out for the General Directorate of Balıkesir Water and Sewerage Administration (BASKİ) and Project Implementation Unit on 15-16.03.2021. BASKİ Senior Managers, Branch Managers, Business Unit and other relevant Unit Representatives and Project Implementation Unit Members attended the training.

The closing meeting of the Consumer Protection Strengthening Project, which is financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey and carried out by the General Directorate of Consumer Protection and Market Surveillance, ended on March 5, 2021 in Ankara with an online event due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Kick-Off Meeting within the scope of “Technical Assistance and Supervision for Bandırma Integrated Water Project”, which will be held under the leadership of WYG International Danışmanlık Limited Şirketi in 55 Months, was held on Tuesday, 9 June 2020, with the participation of T.C. Ministry of Environment and Urbanization, Balıkesir Water and Sewerage Administration (BWSD) and representatives of the EU Delegation to Turkey, Contractor, Project Team Leader and Consortium members on an online platform.
